At the beginning of October, the first 5-star health complex in Romania entered the hotel market. The investment, exceeding 29 million euros, belongs to the company Turism Lotus Felix SA, having as shareholders SIF Transilvania Brașov, SIF Oltenia Craiova, SC Turism Felix SA, SIF Muntenia Bucharest and SIF Moldova Bacău – declared Florian Serac, general manager of the company from Băile Felix.
Lotus Therm Spa&Luxury Resort from Băile Felix has a capacity of 180 rooms and 262 lodging places, 79 single rooms, 37 double rooms, 3 rooms for disabled persons, 39 apartments, 8 suites and 6 special apartments – VIP, Honeymoon, Gold, Blue. Lotus Resort occupies an area of around 47.000 square meters and holds an inedited aquapark, unique in Romania – Felixarium.
ROMANIA in VISIT EUROPE
The online magazine Visit Europe Magazine, edited in Brussels, presents in two of its editions several touristic recommendations from areas and countries members of EU-28. In the number dedicated to Holiday Destinations (www.visiteurope.com), 28 full colour pages, Romania appears with the presentation of some resorts from the Black Sea, Danube Delta (part of UNESCO patrimony) and Carpathian Mountains (with the 27 thematic and natural parks).
The second electronic booklet (www.tastingeurope.com), is dedicated to European wines and gastronomy. Our country is recommended for its tasteful, colourful plates and refined wines. The famous meatball and tripe soups, stew and tochitura, cabbage rolls, grilled minced meat rolls, desserts (dumplings with cheese, pancakes, sweet bread etc) are only a part. In the Section wines, it is outlined the information that Romanians have a tradition in the field of over 4000 years and are presented 9 of the most appreciated kinds of wines.
BLUE AIR – 23 new routes in the summer schedule
Blue Air, the first smart flying company in Romania, has introduced for sale the summer schedule 2016, available online on www.blueairweb.com, by Call Centre or at the 3 000 partner agencies.
The summer schedule 2016 is already available in the system. ”We offer over 23 new Blue Air routes, both for the operation bases from Romania, and for the external bases from Italy and Cyprus. We shall operate 6 new destinations (Birmingham, Glasgow, Castellon, Hamburg, Lyon, Stockholm) from the base of Bucharest, Constanta and Sibiu.
We shall operate a new route from Iasi 3 other new external destinations, from Bacau 2 new routes, and the base from Torino shall be added another 8 new routes. Starting with 1 June 2016 Blue Air will begin as well the operation from the International Airport Cluj-Napoca, with two weekly flights to Dublin and Liverpool” – declared Tudor Constantinescu, commercial manager of Blue Air.
3 hotels from Romania in WTA
InterContinental Bucharest, Epoque and JW Marriott Bucharest are the three hotels from Romania receiving awards at the famous ceremony World Travel Awards 2015, the trophy called “Oscar of touristic industry”. InterContinentalul won for the second year de award “Business Hotel of the Year” (Romania’s Leading Business Hotel), Epoque was awarded the prize on the category „Romania’s Leading Boutique Hotel” whereas JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel was designated the winner in the section „Romania’s Leading Hotel”.
Christian Tour: target Hungary, Serbia and Poland
The success registered by Christian Tour abroad – Turkey, Greece, Spain and Moldova Republic – determines the greatest tour operator of charters in Romania to extend on new markets from Central and East Europe. “We have started to invest in tourism agencies from abroad since 2012, when Memento Turkey was incorporated, shortly followed by Memento Spain.
At the beginning of 2014, we entered the hotel market of Greece, and, at the end of the same year, we opened in Chișinău, the first agency under the brand Christian Tour outside the borders of Romania. MOCĂNIȚA runs by steam as well as by… Google
Mocanița, the steam train running on the railway with narrow gauge in the defile of Vaserului Valley from Maramuresului Mountains, was incorporated on the digital platform of Google Cultural Institute, platform which offers access to the cultural-historical patrimony of the most important places in the world.
The founding member of Wassertalbahn Foundation, Viseu de Sus, dealing with the presentation of „Mocanita” train, Andreas Karlstetter stated that the presentation of Mocanita train on one of the most important digital platforms contributes to a better knowing of Viseului community outside Romania.
