UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: Visas directly on the airport
Starting with the end of March, Romanian tourists who visit the United Arab Emirates will obtain the entry visa for the Arab state directly on the destination airports – shows a press release of the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Starting with 22 March, the 30-day visa can be obtained free of charge, directly on the airport. Tourists only have to pay for extension over this period of time. According to the foregoing authority, 13 EU Member States benefit from this measure. Besides our country, visa-on-arrival in the Emirates can also be obtained by tourists coming from Bulgaria, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Hungary, Latvia, Estonia, Malta, Cyprus and Croatia. Thus, the citizen from all the 28 EU countries can visit the United Arab Emirates under the same conditions of obtaining the tourist visa.

HILTON comes with Hampton
The Hilton international chain has concluded an agreement with Europa Hotel in Iasi, with a 4-star rating, which, after being refurbished, will take over the brand Hampton by Hilton. The Europa Hotel is located within the World Trade Center from Iasi. Hampton by Hilton Iasi will open in the second half of 2014, after the complete process of renewal of the 15-floor building of the former Europa Hotel. The hotel will have 123 rooms.
Another hotel managed under the brand Hampton by Hilton will open in Brasov. It will have a structure of 11 floors and 159 rooms with double beds, rooms for disabled persons, etc. The hotel is included in a real estate project from the Hidromecanica Industrial Area. It is developed by Brasov Estate SRL, a company established by the Cora Belgian investors.
PREDEAL – Spa Center with ice cave
This year, Predeal will vary its touristic offer. The City Hall of the mountain resort from Brasov County has informed of the development of several projects with a total value of over 20 million euro. A Spa Center will be opened in Predeal, which will include saunas, pools, an aqua park and gyms. It will also include relaxing areas, saunas, steam baths, an ice cave, pools, an aqua park, squash fields, a solar, and gyms for fitness, spinning, cardio, and aerobic. Green areas and playgrounds for children will be also built. It is estimated that the project will increase the number of tourists with about 15% and will create 35 new jobs in the city. The building of the Spa Center will be completed in 2015.
Park Inn from Bucharest
The shareholders of the Bucuresti Turism Company, the owner of Radisson Blu Hotel and of the Centre Ville Center from the capital city have decided to transform about 165 of the apartments from Centre Ville into a special accommodation unit. This will be a first in Romania under the brand Park Inn by Radisson. The investments for project accomplishment are still ongoing, and they will be completed this summer. They are estimated to be around 2.7 million euro.

BRASOV has been the most visited location by foreign tourists
According to the data provided by the National Statistics Institute (INS), in 2013, Brasov has been the most visited city in Romania by foreign tourists. In its turn, Brasov County has received last year over 122,000 foreign tourists. Timis County runs the second with about 80,000 foreign visitors, then come Sibiu County, with over 73,000, and Mures County, with over 65,000 foreign visitors, respectively.
