„Promoting Romania on internet and the on-line selling of travel packages represent minimal access conditions to the tourism industry. Our country will be more aggressively presented on Facebook, according to the agreement we have with the representatives of this company” said the minister of tourism Elena Udrea. This and other ideas made the subject of the conference “The future of Romanian Tourism. Digital strategy of promoting Romania as a tourist destination. From awareness to sales”.

Scott Gallacher (The Aston Group, Managing Director), Povl Verder (The Aston Group, Online Marketing Director) and Rick Adamus (The Aston Group, Engagement Director) discussed country branding issues and presented studies that show the success of Facebook as a marketing platform. The Romanian business men presented studies showing the success of online marketing for holyday packages (Dragoş Stanca, Managing Director Q2M.net and F5), the conversational program (Ovidiu Florea, Technology Consultant), and the role of tourism communities in establishing promotion and commercial platforms (Horia Nistor, founder of Ejobs.ro ). Dragoş Anastasiu, leader of Eurolines group, was the moderator of the conference.
