In two years time Băile Govora spa resort will reopen a famous complex: Hotel Palace. Built by French architect E. Doneaud between 1911-1914 it offered 240 rooms, a Casino and a bath pavilion, being one of the most famous locations in Romania.
According to a project, cofinanced by EU, through REGIO program, the company Băile Govora SA started the modernization of the hotel. Mihai Handolescu, general director of SC Băile Govora SA says that „Palace Govora Spa, as it will be named, will regain its position as the pearl hotel of the resort. When ready it will offer 93 rooms rated four stars and 39 rooms with a three stars standard. The capacity of the hotel will be 57 places more than now. The project plans a Business Club, two conference rooms etc. The new spa and cure facilities will have the highest technology services.
