CARPATI – A hotel of three stars plus

Pursuant to an investment of 3 million euros in the mountain station Predeal (Brașov county), the Carpați hotel entered the touristic circuit. Property of the company Alfa Hotels, it is managed by the trade union confederation ”Cartel ALFA”. After almost 3 years, a hotel of 1 star has been currently restored providing other standards of 3 and 4 stars, for an exigent public – declared Antonio Blendea, the manager of SC Alfa Hotels. The Carpați Complex offers the tourists 59 double rooms, 2 auditoriums with an overall capacity of around 200 places, a restaurant of 250 places, day bar with 60 places, a wine cellar of 30 places etc.

Olimpic International Tourism has become the first company in the travel industry from Romania receiving the Order of ” Industrial and Commercial Merit”, with the degree of ” Chevalier” ”as a sign of high appreciation for the special performances obtained in time, proving to be a model of profit on internal and international market”. The festivity was organised at Cotroceni Palace from Bucharest and it was coordinated by the President of Romania, Traian Băsescu. ”We consider the distinction a proof that the company I am managing is one of the most important professional organisers of conferences and events and tour operators in Romania, with achievements and a special feedback” – declared George Sorin Nicolescu, chairman & CEO of Olimpic International.

MasterCard has opened Business Lounge on Otopeni airport
 

MasterCard has inaugurated a Business Lounge on Henri Coandă International Airport from Otopeni, providing free access to the holders of MasterCard Premium – Platinum, World, World Elite and Corporate cards. With an area of over 350 square metres, MasterCard Business Lounge may shelter up to 80 travellers, offering them snakes and different drinks within an elegantly furnished space. The design and arrangement of MasterCard Lounge are the creation of two Romanian architects, Marian Oprea and Iulia Trifan – 122 StudioLab, with a rich experience in office arranging projects. “I am glad to participate to the opening of this lounge in Bucharest, as part of the regional project that I have coordinated in the last months” – stated Denisa Mateescu, Vice President of Market Development MasterCard Europe.
The opening of MasterCard Lounge on the airport from Bucharest is part of a wide regional program. Similar saloons have been opened in Prague, Budapest and Kiev, and the holders of MasterCard Premium benefit as well of free entry in the business saloon of Vienna Airport.

Accent has launched Traveo.ro

The agency Accent Travel & Events has launched an online platform of touristic bookings for plane tickets, hotels, thematic packs or city breaks. The idea on which Traveo.ro has relied began to materialize two years ago, and the investment reached 500.000 euros. Lucian Boronea, general manager of the company hopes that within one year to obtain sales of 3 million euros, both from online, and from the call centre behind this platform. The novelties provided by Traveo.ro on market are the Get Away, Weekend Search and Activity Search functionalities. The team of the agency collaborates for the Traveo.ro platform with 14 suppliers, among which Amadeus, Gulliver Travel Associates, Expedia etc. The system allows to be accessed 170.000 hotels and over 450 air lines.

300 participants to European Snooker Championship

The Romanian Snooker Federation and EBSA –European Association of Billiard and Snooker shall organise, at Caro Hotel Complex of Bucharest, the European Snooker Championship – Juniors (Under 21) and Senior Teams – amateur category. The event shall take place between March 18th and 29th 2014, in partnership with Innovation Travel. The Championship of Juniors shall take place between March 18th and 23rd, and for the Seniors (men, women and master) between March 23rd and 29th. Both categories shall gather over 250 participants from over 20 countries (Great Britain, Ireland, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Serbia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus etc.). They will be joined in Bucharest 26 international snooker coaches. On March 23rd, Innovation Travel shall organise a National Gala dedicated to Snooker, being invited, besides the participants and organisers, personalities from the field of culture, sport, tourism, politics and mass-media representatives. During the entire period of championship, the entry will be free. It will be provided live 24h/24 broadcast in the entire Europe on the official website of European Snooker Federation – www.ebsa.tv

“This is the third European snooker championship organized in Romania, the others being in 2006, in Constanţa, respectively in 2010, in Bucharest. This time we deal with a premiere, being two championships at the same time: junior, respectively senior teams – stated Francisc Tobă, president of the Romanian Snooker Federation. A retro flight: Iași-Tel Aviv

As of March 31st, TAROM shall open a direct route Iaşi – Tel Aviv, with two weekly flights. The rates are from 99 euros for a return flight, all taxes included. The flights are scheduled on Monday and Thursday. According to Christian Heinzmann, general manager of national air company, the route Iaşi – Tel Aviv has a significant traffic potential. The new flight has been included in the flight program of the summer season 2014.
