J.W. Marriott Grand Hotel has launched the autumn collection
By completing the process of renovation of the lobby and of the new Lounge Pavilion J.W. Marriott hotel complex of Bucharest has marked the launching of a new ”collection” of interior design including elegant models. The new lobby welcomes the guests with a modern decor opening the entire area of groundfloor. The main attracting is represented by the new Lounge Pavilion. Designed to shelter social and business meetings, it has been made of Calcutta marble, of dark colour wood, bronze and warm lights. It was provided here a special place for smoking, separated by a glass wall. The overall investment reached to around 1.2 million Euros. Igael Porecki, general manager of J.W. Marriott Grand Hotel, declared that ”The following stage is represented by the renovation until the end of the year 2015 of the 401 rooms, 12 halls of events, as well as of corridors and of the Executive lounge. The investment will reach around 4 million Euros.”
TAL Aviation became GSA for Air Europa and SriLankan Airlines
TAL Aviation Romania, member of the global company TAL Aviation – one of the most famous company specialised in representing air companies – was appointed General Sales Agent (GSA) for Air Europa in Romania and Moldova. With Air Europa the passengers from Romania and Moldova may discover the Caribbean Isles, Punta Cana, Havana, Cancun as well as destinations from South America. Air Europa is the sole European transporter operating flights to Montevideo, Uruguay and Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia having direct flights from Spain/Europe to such destinations. Also, the officials of TAL Aviation Romania au announced the obtaining of GSA representation of SriLankan Airlines company. By this, the Romanian passengers are provided new opportunities to discover the flight hospitality and experience towards Sri Lanka, known as isle which provides a great natural and cultural diversity. In 2013, Sri Lanka occupies a leading place in the top of touristic destinations.
Hampton opened the season in Cluj
Hampton by Hilton of Cluj Napoca entered the touristic circuit. This is the first hotel of this brand occupying the”value” (budget) segment of Romanian touristic industry. It provides 109 rooms, displayed on 7 storeys, a conference hall with modern equipments, with an overall capacity of around 35 individuals and it targets both business and leisure passengers.
Hampton, a brand of Hilton Worldwide, expresses on global level by 1.900 properties and over 186.000 rooms managed in 13
countries.
Trophy for Golden Tulip Sibiu
The hotel Golden Tulip Ana Tower from Sibiu received the distinction „Hotel of The Year 2012” for the entire central south-east European area of the hotel chain Golden Tulip – Louvre Hotels. The trophy was awarded to the hotel representatives, by Olivier Derycke, Vice-President and CEO of Golden Tulip – Louvre Hotels Group, with Andreas Tscherning, Vice- President on Europe and Paul Mărășoiu, Senior Vice- President Romania. Granting annual trophies relies on the results of a laborious Quality Insurance Program.
Blue Air has direct search engine on Facebook
Openmind (www.openmind.ro) has launched with Blue Air (www.blueairweb.com) the first solution of searching plane tickets directly on Facebook page, which reduces the time necessary to 30 seconds. The solution is using the new technology of hashtags Facebook in order to acknowledge every time when a user is posting #flight living destination (for instance: #flight Bucharest – Barcelona) directly on the page f.com/BileteBlueAir. This is the first Romanian company based on such creative technologies.
FODOREANU: ”The Enescu Festival, a great success as well for incoming!”
The 21st edition of George Enescu International Festival, organised in September in Romania, may be considered not only an artistic but a travel success, mainly on incoming segment. Based on the evaluations of Gheorghe Fodoreanu, the leader of tourism agencty Invitation Romania, the event attracted over 1500 foreign tourists arrived from countries such as France, Great Britain, USA, Canada, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland etc. ”Only our company providing services for 940 visitors, collected around 470.000 EUR. We have carried out several program-projects together with international partners in the music field. A great success registered the Music Cruises on Danube having as top attractions Bucharest, Danube Delta or the Castles of Transilvania” – added Fodoreanu as well.
