ESPA Prize for AFRODITA Resort & Spa<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Innovative Spa Awards 2019 took place at the end of May in the Croatian resort of Therme Tuhelj. Specialists from USA and China and 21 member states participated in this event dedicated to the SPA industry.

Rom\u00e2nia participated with the Afrodita Resort & Spa in B\u0103ile Herculane and the project inaugurated at the end of last year – Herculum Spa. The Complex obtained the prize at the Innovative Spa Concept category. Afrodita Resort & Spa is a part of Bacolux Hotels, a chain that totals 1000 beds in Herculane, Craiova and Bu\u0219teni, bringing 100% Romanian capital and 25 years in the industry of hospitality in Romania.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Herculum Spa Project had started three years ago when a new sulfur water spring was opened, this being the largest investment of its kind in B\u0103ile Herculane in the last 20 years. This spring directly feeds the pools of Herculum Spa. Maria Rende\u0219, the SPA consultant of Bacolux Hotels gave a touch of uniqueness to the project by using the natural resources of the area in the offered treatments and procedures, to be found in this hotel only.\u201dThe Romanian team had to face a big emotional challenge due to the presence of super prepared European members of the jury and a load of great other projects. We are happy we could bring this prize home and that we could prove to the Romanian industry that Herculane is in the European top regarding innovation. This has always been one of our targets\u201d- said Florin B\u0103z\u0103van, General Director of Bacolux Hotels.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Courtyard in Pipera<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The first Courtyard by Marriott Hotel opened this summer in luxury Pipera area in Bucharest, on Dimitrie Pompeiu Boulevard. The brand new building have 13 floors, 259 rooms and a 4 starts rating was said by Adrian Adam \u2013 general director of the future Courtyard by Marriott Bucharest. Adam comes from Radisson Blu, bringing over 20 years of experience in the travel industry in chains such as Crowne Plaza, Hilton, and Park Inn etc.

Courtyard by Marriott Bucharest is the second hotel in the Capital City of Romania to be opened by the Lithuanian Company Apex Alliance Hotel Management, after the Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Old Town. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

New protected product<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the European Commission in Romania the Danube m<\/span>mackerel became the fifth food product from Romania to be officially recognized in EU. The other recognized and protected Romanian products are<\/span>: Smoked Bighead fish from \u021aara B\u00e2rsei, Ib\u0103ne\u0219ti Cheese, Sibiu Salami and Plum Jam from Topoloveni. The Danube m<\/span>mackerel is a wild fish that migrates from the Black Sea in to the Danube Delta and river. It is not possible to reproduce the specie in a controlled environment.<\/span>This specie is recognized as being the richest one in fats of its kind (weights 250-400 grams, and has 25-30 centimeters).
