The Palace of the Princely Court is undergoing an 8 million euro restoration, at the initiative of the Bucharest City Hall. A modest location in the last years the medieval ruins will see a complex plan, also of reconstruction. This is an investment of about 10 million euro, set-up and run by ten local business people. Amongst them one can mention Cristian \u021a\u00e2ntareanu \u2013the owner of the residential area Paradisul Verde, Dragos Petrescu \u2013 owner of City Grill chain of restaurants, Marian Alecu &#8211; former Country Manager McDonalds Romania, Daniel Mischie &#8211; CEO of City Grill, Radu Rasinar &#8211; General Director in SE Europe of the farmaceutical company AstraZeneca and President of &nbsp;Local American Working Group etc. The future complex will bring 8 halls with a total capacity of 2000 people, the smallest hall being of 100 seats and the largest one of 1200. The Romania Centenary Fleet was launched in Tulcea and it is composed of six boats \u2013 each one of them simbolically representing the historical regions that \u201ecame home\u201d 100 years ago: Basarabia (March 1918), Bucovina (November 1918), Dobrogea (November 1918), Transilvania, Moldova and Muntenia (1st of December 1918). After 48 years dedicated to aviation, at 70, Gheorghe R\u0103caru decided to retire from the executive. He held this function since the foundation of Blue Air on 13<sup>th<\/sup> of December 2004, with a short break 2009-2013. \u201cRunning Blue Air has been my passion and a part of my identity for a long time. It has been a privilege for me to work with such a talented team. Today\u2019s decision comes after few months of reflection. Me and Marius share the same vision regarding the future of the company\u201d \u2013 said R\u0103caru. They recently bought, just next to the new Hilton, the building of the former bank Marmorosch Blank \u2013 intending to transform it in a new hotel. The Bank Marmorosch, Blank &amp; Co, founded in 1848 by Iacob Marmorosch, has been the filter of all foreign western money coming to the economy of Romania for more than a century. <br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.travellermagazin.ro\/arhiva\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Engl-Apex.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"419\" src=\"http:\/\/www.travellermagazin.ro\/arhiva\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Engl-Apex.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6676\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.travellermagazin.ro\/arhiva\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Engl-Apex.jpg 800w, http:\/\/www.travellermagazin.ro\/arhiva\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Engl-Apex-300x157.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.travellermagazin.ro\/arhiva\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Engl-Apex-768x402.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile Apex Alliance is building in the\nNorth of Bucharest the first hotel affiliated to Courtyard by Marriott in\nRomania. The 4\nstarts unit will have 260 rooms and several conference halls. In addition the company\nis building a 120 rooms unit in the hear of the Old City, to be affiliated to\nthe Moxy Hotels \u2013 also a Marriott brand. All the above projects are to come to life next year.\nThe new investors are already thinking of other four hotels in Bucharest (to be\noperated under Marriot and Hilton Worldwide), while enlarging the budget by\nattracting new business people. Apex Alliance is controlled by Arunas Beleska\nand recently was joined by the founder of one of the largest groups of the Baltics\n&#8211; Mindaugas Bagdonavicius from Vilniaus Prekyba, followed by investors like the\nrichest man in Lithuania &#8211; Nerijus Numavicius and his brother Vladas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>World Record with a Romanian Touch<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A new world record in parachute jumping was established on the Korotich Airfield, Harkov Region (Ukrain) \u2013 in the free fall formations section. 57 parachute jumpers united in a 3 points formation.
