The documentation on which such decision relies stipulates that the youth is a serious investment for sustainable and responsible urban development. The name of the program presented is SHARE, a strong, clear, tough, diversified and interesting concept. ”SHARE supports the sharing of space, of culture, of power, of labour, of joy, of joint European vision and values, through topics such as the Bar, mobility, structured dialogue and information for youth. Focusing on the European dimension and collaboration with universities, the civil society and local partners, Cluj-Napoca is able to provide permanent consulting services in the trials related to the problems of youth”, it is stated in the youthforum.org handout. The title of European Capital of Youth was awarded for the first time in 2009 to the town of Rotterdam, followed by Torino, Anvers, Braga, Maribor. Salonic will hold this title in 2014.

AEROTRAVEL brings MSC to Constanţa
Until the autumn of this year, no Romanian could embark on a cruise vessel from Constanţa port. Another 3 courses of MSC Musica will leave this autumn from the port of Constanta, said An-to-nio Niţu, general manager of Aero-travel Lufthansa City Center, partner agency of MSC since 2009, selling the abovementioned offers. Niţu estimates that this cruise will be undertaken, until the end of 2013, by around 400 Romanians. Last year, the company sold 3.000 cruises in Romania but with embarking from ports abroad on MSC vessels, and this year he estimates an increase by 50%.

National Geographic recommends Danube Delta

Danube Delta appears in a top of the recommendations made by the editors of National Geographic Traveller for the trips this spring. Opening the Conference, IRU Secretary General, Martin Marmy, stressed, “The IRU launched the Smart Move campaign in 2009 and it has gained incredible momentum, turning into a major international movement and ultimately becoming a new policy instrument in the EU. If such a successful development was possible, it is exactly what we should expect to achieve together in Eurasia. A similar objective can also be pursued with the IRU initiative “Taxi – Anytime, Anywhere!” to place taxis on top of the political agenda, as the benefits provided by taxis have mostly been forgotten despite their tremendous unused potential to contribute to the improved effectiveness of a high quality public transport chain”.

Sfântu Gheorghe wants to be… Cultural Capital

The management of Sfântu Gheorghe Municipality (Covasna county) announced that it will submit candidature to become an European Cultural Capital in 2021.
